Yoga and Pilates classes are held weekly on Sunday and Tuesday nights at the Calmar Program Centre. Classes are $15 for drop in. $52 for a 4 class pass and $96 for an 8 class pass per month. Classes are bookable online, please contact us directly to purchase multi class pass.
6pm: Youth Yoga is a 45 minute class for 8-12 year old’s (13+ are welcome in our adult classes as long as you connect with us first). In this class we focus on learning basic yoga poses, movements with breath and mindfulness practices. It’s a great way to introduce our young people to prioritizing their physical and mental wellness while connecting with other youth from the community. We hope to make these classes as accessible as possible so it will only cost $5 to attend.
7pm: Yoga Flow is a class dedicated to connecting movement with breath. This class is an all levels class with modification or challenges for all practitioner levels. In this class we focus on cultivating strength, flexibility, balance and stability in seating, laying and standing postures.
8.15pm: Pilates in a mind-body exercise with a focus on building strength and stability through the core to improve posture and decrease pain in the back. Movements are mostly all done laying down on stomach, back or side.
